By 2024, Colombia is the official host of this important international event, a tournament that has been held every two years since 2002. Medellín will host different moments of this sporting milestone for women’s football.
The countries of the participating teams are Colombia, Australia, Cameroon, Mexico, France, Canada, Brazil, Fiji, Spain, United States, Paraguay, Morocco, Germany, Venezuela, Nigeria, Republic of Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Ghana, Austria, DPR Korea, Argentina, Costa Rica and the Netherlands.
The 24 participating teams will be divided into six groups of four. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the round of 16, along with the four best third-placed teams. This will be followed by quarter-finals, semi-finals, third-place play-offs and the final.
